ITC seeking land in Haridwar

Cigarette and consumer goods major, ITC is among nearly 24 companies which are seeking land in the key industrial estate of Haridwar in Uttarakhand for the expansion and setting up of new shops. The State Infrastructure and Industrial development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (Sidcul) in October had invited application for the remaining industrial plots in the key industrial estates of Haridwar, Pantnagar, Selaquie and Kotdwar.

Sources have confirmed that state government nodal agency for industrial development, Sidcul did not receive any proposals for the Pantnagar industrial estate this time. “Most of these proposals are for the Haridwar industrial estate which we have sent to the empowered committee for a final decision,” said a government official.
