Inter school badminton tournament

The second edition of CBSE Sahodaya Inter school Badminton tournament was organized by DSB International Public School, Rishikesh from 11-13 October. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was chairman of DSB International Public School, Rishikesh H.H. Shri Brahm Swaroop Brahmchari ji Maharaj.

Top ten CBSE schools from Dehradun district participated in the event. In all, more than 150 players took part in the tournament. The three-day long tournament was played in three age categories of boys and girls viz. U-14, U-16 and U-18. It was played on knockout basis. The matches were played under the able supervision of Deepak Rawat, NIS coach of Badminton. The first day matches were very exciting.

In boys' category Welham Boys, Dehradun won against DSB International Public School, Rishikesh. But in U-16 category the ace shutters of DSB International Public School, Rishikesh got their rhythm back and overpowered Welham Boys, Dehradun by 2-0. But finally in U-18 category Welham Boys, Dehradun won against DSB International Public School, Rishikesh with ease.
